Upton Sinclair: Fighting Against The Jungle of the Meat Packing Factories
After being shown the horrors of the meat-packing industry from Socialist contacts in 1906, Upton Sinclair wrote the book, The Jungle to stand up against extremely dangerous factories and to spread awareness of the horrid conditions causing Theodore Roosevelt to make the Pure Food and Drug Acts to remedy the issue.
